Bushmills 14 Year Old is one of the most innovative Irish single malts they’ve ever made. Exclusively matured in first and second-fill bourbon barrels for a minimum of 14 years, including a finish of up to 12 months in rare Malaga wine casks to give a luscious exotic fruit intensity and beautiful smoothness. By only using bourbon casks, the vanilla sweetness is allowed to shine, so when we layer on the fruit intensity from the Malaga casks, it only enhances the sweetness – taking it to new heights.
Golden chestnut colour. Rich scents of sweet honey, vanilla and gentle mandarin orange married with warm spice. A harmony of mango, pineapple and apricot, bursting on the palate. Hints of ginger, cinnamon, milk chocolate, vanilla, warm caramel followed by gentle oak and floral notes. Long, crisp finish of vanilla, apricots and mandarin orange developing into warm spice.
